I fervently pray that this new medication my doctor put me on benefits me without causing me any bad side-effects whatsoever. I am begging God for a miracle cure for my severe gum recession and for my three back teeth. If this is not His will, then at least halt the recession permanently, do not let the gums bleed or thin out, stop forever any further spacing of and/or shifting of and/or loosening of my teeth, let there be no tooth decay and no recurrence of the gum disease. (I had periodentitis.) For the past week, my gums between my three back teeth have been bleeding on-and-off when I floss. Please, Lord, please make it stop. I have no money and no dental insurance. As far as my three back teeth go, my dentist found shadows on x-ray of these. I pray that the shadows go away and that these teeth are perfectly fine. However, if this is not God’s will, then I pray that the worst-case scenario with these teeth is that they require refilling. One of these teeth is almost all filling with just this thin strip or real tooth on the side. I pray that if it is needed, my dentist is able to refill this tooth. I am begging God on my hands and knees that I do not lose a single tooth and that my teeth do not get all sticking out and funny looking. I am also begging God it costs me nothing to not very much money in order for me to be able to keep all of my teeth. Amen.

I also want, at last, to update you on Spencer. Thank you for praying for him.
Your prayers have been answered in the progress he has made.
His mom called us last night and talked about his freshman year in public, charter high school, just begun.
He has communicated through computer for years now. Still has a speech therapist, though I think he still doesn’t really speak.
Thank you for caring about this young man. We have never known a life expectancy for him, though I suspect he has already beaten the “odds.”
Thank God for his wonderful, caring, good- looking parents and doting grandmother. He has the best of care and special programs and is 15 years old.

Well, it is time for my prostate to be removed. I will have surgery at the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor Michigan on October 27, 2011.

Please say a prayer for a successful surgery and a speedy recovery. Please say a prayer for the surgeon and the surgical team. Nor my will but God’s will be done.

I urge you to have all the men in your life get their prostate checked on a regular basis as directed by your doctor. They found a cancer in mine, but it is at a very early stage and as far as they can tell it is confined to the prostate gland itself. So with a few good prayers and a little luck, the surgery will remove all the cancer.

Please pray for my dear friend Alejandro who is trapped by sex addiction. That he may embrace fully the mercy and graces of the Lord, and be renewed and redeemed in His love. That he may embrace his role as a father and learn to truly love those around him, especially the women in his life.

Father, I pray for the healing of the rifts within our church, we ask for discernment, courage, strength as we move forward with a new building. We ask that it not be long before the other two churches are sold and we can move forward.
