  1. I found this article while thinking about my great aunt Maria Garza. When I was 16 my father took me to see her. Acording to my father, maria was probably in her mid 90s, that was back in the late 80s, and lived in the rio grande valley of S Texas. She didn’t speak any English. She never married. She had the crucifix on every wall in her house, and candles with the Virgin Mary everywhere. She was a said to be a spiritual healer that everything she did, she did through Christ. She lived a very simple life in a small old one bedroom house. There was such a good feeling when I would go in there and visit her. Though my father had to interpret for me because I didn’t speak Spanish. She did a healing session on me once, and told me I needed to wear the St. Ignatious Medallion. I was wondering if there was a way to find out if anyone has ever heard of her or if she was as well known as my father claimed. Last time I saw her, I was 22 years old and she was on her deathbed. She didn’t recognize me. I need to know because now, more than ever, I am in need of that healing. Please contact me. I believe she lived in the community of Pharr or Mission TX in the rio grand valley ( S Texas ). Thank you so much for your time> Richard Meza
